Outputs
Relays / Secondary Devices
For the outputs to the 120vDC devices we will use five solid state relays. These will be
used in order to switch from low DC voltage to 120vAC. They will be purchased from Radio
Shack. The relays we will use are SHARP Solid State relays (S101S05V). They are SPST and
switch up to 3A at 125VAC. 1.2VDC triggers the device. Pins 1 and 2 are for the controlled
circuit. Pins 3 and 4 are the control circuit. (see figure 3) The secondary devices that
will be activated through these relays are a fan, a heater, two lights, and a valve.
